What do you call the view from the top of the world? In Iceland, there’s a word for it: víðsýni, a panorama. Do we know how that’s pronounced? Not entirely. But you can find out for yourself by joining the Friends of Saint Francis on their upcoming Icelandic Adventure, beginning May 28.

With an itinerary that includes Reykjavik, Husavik, and Grundarfjordur, the 10-day trip is full of opportunities to experience both the natural beauty and cultural touchstones of Iceland in the spring. From the Golden Circle to the Diamond Circle; from Thingvellir National Park to Lake Myvatin; you’ll go whale watching and hiking. Tour caves, waterfalls and glaciers. Eat their fancy food.

But one thing is for sure, there will be plenty of panoramic views – víðsýni. And since Icelanders also use that word for open-mindedness and new experiences, there will be plenty of those too.

Broaden your horizons. Let’s go to Iceland.
